
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020 with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 9 Morgan was chosen as the top pick in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional with the club and assisted the team win its league championship. Morgan at the time, who was 22 years old, was the youngest player from the nation at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 and finished second. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. Her 2012 ended with 28 goalsand 21 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score both 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also selected as a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan contributed to helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was named to the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
